How To Get Rid Of Stubborn Body Fat With Interval Training

Burn Body Fat With The "Steady State Cardio" Method

There are different ways to burn body fat, however some methods are more effective than others. The most popular method is what I call "Steady State Cardio". Basically, this means performing cardio at a moderate pace for an extended period of time. The aim is to increase your heart rate up to about 60 - 80 percent your maximum heart rate. It has been shown that this is an optimum zone to use fat as energy while you work out. Providing you carryout this for a long period of time, you will burn off the body fat. This is the most used form of cardio and it works very well.

The "Interval Training" Method to Lose Body Fat

Interval Training isn't as popular as Steady State Cardio, but I believe it is much more effective at burning off stubborn body fat. Interval Training basically means alternating high and low intensities throughout your cardio workout. A typical HIIT workout might be getting on a treadmill and walking for one minute followed by running for one minute. You would repeat this pattern until your cardio session was complete.

Intervals: Proven Superior in Several University Studies

In the early to mid 90's several university studies were conducted which showed how Interval Training allowed people to burn off fat at faster rates than any other method of cardio. This method was proven years ago to be the superior method to burn body fat, yet people are still stuck in the past doing the same old steady state cardio. I believe that Interval Training isn't understood by most people and that is why it isn't as popular as the traditional Steady State Cardio method. If you want to get really lean, then you need to understand how Interval Training works!

Interval Training Will Burn Body Fat Hours After Your Workout is Finished

Steady State Cardio is very effective at burning body fat the 30 to 60 minutes you are working out. Interval Training is very effective at burning body fat for up to 24 hours after you complete the workout! Without getting too technical, Interval Training will increase the natural occurring level of HGH in your body. HGH is a hormone in your body that will burn off body fat like crazy. If you can find a way to increase the natural levels of HGH in your body, you will get as lean as you desire! Interval Training is the way to do exactly that. It has been shown that Interval Training can burn up to six times as much fat as traditional cardio. The HGH response is one of the reasons behind this.

Interval Training Creates a Large Calorie Deficit

This is tough work which burns more total calories than traditional cardio. A very basic approach to losing weight is to burn more calories than what you consume in a day. An intense session of Intervals will raise your metabolism for a few hours after the workout. The total calories burned will be much greater than if a more moderate form of cardio was used.

A Cardio Workout That Works Very Well

I have used several variations of this workout for 6 years and it keeps me at 6 to 8 percent body fat year round.

1) Hop on a treadmill, exercise bike, or elliptical machine

2) Walk or ride at a Steady State Cardio Pace for 1.5 minutes

3) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (set the resistance higher)

4) Go back to the same Steady State Cardio Pace for 1.5 minutes

5) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (higher speed/resistance than the first time)

6) Repeat this for 20-30 minutes

Note: Start off the 30 seconds sprints at a moderate pace and go a bit faster for each of the remaining sprints. The last 30 second sprint should be your toughest. It is a good sign if you are short of breath, your skin is hot, and you are sweating. This is what will cause an increase of HGH in your body. Some people call this the "HGH flush"...this is what you are aiming for. Interval Training is tough, but you will love the results!

Cardio Workout To Burn Fat - The Best Cardio Workout to Burn Fat Quickly

The 2 Different Common Approaches To Cardio Workout

When it comes to burning body fat, there are a few different approaches for you to chose from. Most trainers would recommend that you take the low intensity approach to cardio. The concept of doing your cardio at a level of low intensity is that most of the calories that's burned will be coming from body fat. Lots of folks believe that if you workout too hard, you are burning off carbohydrate energy in the body and not targeting fat. Many people claim that more total calories are burned if people exercise at a higher level of intensity. They conclude that if you just burn more calories than you consume in a day, you will lose body fat. So now we will look in more detail at each school of thought.

Low Intensity Cardio Workout Approach

Low intensity cardio is the most popular form of cardio and is promoted by many personal trainers. Low intensity cardio works at targeting body fat and that is why it is recommended by many personal trainers. University studies have proven low intensity cardio uses fat calories instead of burning muscle carbohydrate calories for energy. If the body burns fat for energy, you will lose body fat. It just makes sense. It is important to choose cardio machines that can track your heart rate. It will let you monitor your heart rate during your cardio workout to allow you to hit the ideal intensity level. After about 10 minutes or so, you should be close to reaching your ideal heart rate. Staying within that target heart rate for at least 30 minutes is what is recommended by most experts.

The High Intensity Cardio Workout

This form of cardio is less utilized. High intensity training involves pushing past your pain threshold a bit, so fewer people choose this route. This cardio method can give great results in burning body fat if done properly. The total calories burned in high intensity cardio are greater than low intensity cardio. Some of those calories come from your body fat and some come from glycogen (carbohydrates stores within your muscles). When you burn more calories in your cardio workout than what you consume, you create a calorie deficit. If you burn a more calories during the day than what you eat in food, you will lose weight.

The Limitations of the 2 Types of Cardio Workouts

Once you get your heart rate up to the correct level, the low intensity cardio workout will burn body fat. The downside is that it can take up to 10 minutes to get your heart rate to the correct level to burn body fat. The first 10 minutes of this cardio workout are somewhat unproductive. High intensity cardio is hard to maintain for long periods of time since it takes a lot of effort. Working at an intense level for over 10-15 minutes is extremely difficult.

How to Combine The Two Approaches Into One Awesome Cardio Workout

When performed in a certain manner, it is possible to benefit from doing both types of cardio in the same workout. You can make the first ten minutes of the low intensity cardio workout productive, by starting your cardio workout off at a high intensity level. Find a treadmill or exercise bike and set it at a high level. Push yourself really hard for 10-15 minutes. Once you are really working up a sweat, switch to a low intensity and keep it there for 20-30 minutes. This will burn calories and create a calorie deficit as well as burning body fat during the workout. I maintain an 8% body fat percentage year round using this cardio approach.

How To Get A Bikini Body Quickly For Summer Or An Upcoming Vacation

Vacations are much more fun when you are in great shape for wearing a bikini.

Do you have a vacation coming up and want to look your best? When you land on the beach, you want to ensure you have a hot bikini body that'll turn heads. You will enjoy your vacation much more if you feel sexy. Most likely You will want to take lots of pictures as well, therefore you will want to make sure that your body is in great shape and bikini ready. When you reach 80 years of age, you can look at those terrific pics and boast to your kids and grand kids about how attractive you were in your younger days.

It Is Easier To Achieve A Great "Bikini Body", When You Have An Up Coming Event Or Want To Look Great For Summer

Not only will your vacations be more filled with fun when you look great, it is much more motivating to do what needs to be done when you know that you will look attractive in a bikini soon. Most women are aware of what is required to get a bikini body shape, it is just so easy to get off course from their diets or workout routines. I recommend you grab pics of your vacation destination and place them somewhere for you to see every day. Also, it's also a great idea to find pictures of fit women who possess a bikini body that you would like to endeavour towards gaining.

Preparing For An Upcoming Vacation Is half The Fun Of Going On A Vacation

Most vacations run up to only 7-10 days. A good way to make that vacation longer is by spending weeks working hard towards getting in top bikini body shape. Of course, shopping for a vacation trip is great fun, but reaching a high fitness level can also be enjoyable. Doing what is necessary to get in top bikini body shape on a consistent basis is actually a very rewarding experience. Honestly, if you look your best, everything will be more enjoyable.

The are 5 basic and proven steps to gaining a stunning "bikini body":

1) Consume less calories than you normally do each day. This sounds basic, but if you burn more calories than what you consume you will lose weight. For best bikini body results, do this at least two months before your vacation.

2) Do all your cardio workout when your stomach is empty. Make sure you do not have any carbs in your system before doing cardio. Doing this will ensure that you burn fat and not carb calories stored in your muscles. Taking in a calorie-free caffeine drink will provide you with energy to hit the cardio hard. You will get rid of excess fat from your improving bikini body on a regular basis, if you stick to this rule. Try to not eat any calories of any kind about 3-4 hours before working out.

3) Do your cardio for at least 1 hour per day 3 weeks before your vacation date. Hitting the cardio for 1 hour per day, twenty one days in a row, will burn that last bit of stubborn body fat off that bikini body of yours. Very few people will ever workout 21 days in a row in their lifetime. Very few people will ever get in their best bikini body shape. If you have the willpower to workout 21 days in a row without fail, you will reach a level that few people ever reach.

4) Workout in the gym 3-4 days per week. Lifting weights will contribute to a sleek bikini body, it just won't be as dramatic as with cardio and diet. Stick with a basic weight lifting routine and you will be o.k. You could probably get a good resistance workout in 15-20 minutes. Getting a bikini body is more about burning off stubborn body fat and less about building muscle.

5) Tan that bikini body of yours. You don't want to overdue it, but 10 sessions of 10-15 minutes at a tanning salon will give you a bit of color and make your body look more attractive. Also, make sure and apply lotion daily to make your skin glow.

Summary:

Hopefully this gives you a great mind set into what it takes to get that bikini body ready for summer. You can't go wrong with sticking with the basics which is low calories and lots of cardio. There are a few select sources of more advanced information on the Internet, but most is geared towards bulking up, this isn't the type of advice you will want to follow. A great bikini body is about lower body fat, not bigger muscles.

Lose Body Fat Fast - How To Lose Fat Quickly For An Upcoming Event

There are certain times in life when you don't just want to lose fat quickly, but you need to. For instance, if you are planning to go on a vacation to a tropical location like Hawaii, you are going to enjoy your trip much more if you're confident that you look great. You will surely look your best if you are able to lose fat and look great in a swimsuit.

Your Face Will Look Better at a Lower Body Fat Percentage

This is something that people don't talk about very much, but when you are leaner your face will look better. For men you will be able to gain that square jaw and women will be able to see high cheekbones and have less fat around the neck. Obviously this will help you look your best for photos when you are on vacation or attending a wedding, etc.

You Can Actually Lose a Significant Amount of Body Fat in 3 Weeks

Hopefully, you have more than 3 weeks to get in shape, but if you don't you will still be able to lose body fat quickly enough to make a big difference. Here is a 21 day plan I use before every vacation that has worked wonders for me as well as those I give advice to.

1) Hit the Cardio hard at Least One Hour Per Day

2) Don't Eat or Drink Any Carbs at All 4-6 Hours Before Your Cardio

3) Drink Green Tea or Black Coffee 30 Minutes Before Your Cardio

4) Eat "Low Calorie" and "Low Carb" Throughout the Day

5) If You Are Dying For Carbs, Only Eat Them Following a Hard Workout

6) Total Daily Calories Equals "Body Weight" x 8

7) Lift Weights 4-5 Times Per Week

Note: This is just a short term 21 day plan...you will lose muscle if you go longer than 21 days on this plan.

The most crucial part is that you are performing at least one hour of cardio in a fasted state for 21 days in a row. Very few people have ever done cardio for 21 days in a row. You will be amazed at how well this works. I have been able to lose body fat quickly by following this plan in the past and you will too. Give this a shot, you will see great results.

How To Lose Fat To The Maximum By Maintaining The Right Intensity Of Your Workout

If you are trying to maximize fat loss or increase the definition of your muscle I suggest you use the methods below.

I usually favour keeping strength training apart from the fat loss part of the workout. It's best to achieve muscle definition using heavy weights and brief strength training at a low volume. Your muscles will firm up and you will begin to see an improvement in muscle definition this way. Usually, the easiest part of any workout is training for strength. With any workout program, the calorie burning (fat loss) part is the most intense and difficult. It's best to include an intense fat burning routine into your workout at least 3 times weekly. You can use whatever method of circuit workout or strategic interval that you want, including HIIT and body weight circuits.

You Won't Gain An "After Effect" Utilizing Low Intensity During A Workout.

Often times, when I'm in the gym, I see persons carrying out a fat loss workout lacking intensity in it. If you are not resting or cooling down for the next part of your workout, walking on a treadmill is useless. When you do a cardio workout that is low intensity, you are not maximizing the amount of calories you could be burning.

Also Pay Careful Attention To Avoid A Workout That Is Too High In Intensity As Well

You will very likely get caught up resting for longer periods of time when you are finished with your routine, if it is too intense or difficult. For the most effective fat loss workout, you should be able to go on without extra breaks as if you never worked out at all. If you become overly tired and spend hours sitting down or resting after a workout, your fat loss workout is ineffective.

How Would You Find Out If You Are Working Out With The Right Intensity For Your Fat Loss Routine?

Pay attention to something called the "HGH Flush" I am not sure where this term originated from, but it does serve as a wonderful tool for rating your fat loss workout. You will know when you reached the HGH flush when you run out of breath, with hot slightly red skin after each workout. Try to remember how hot and out of breath you felt, after the gym teacher had you run lines in junior high. HGH is a hormone released by your body to burn fat when your metabolism is suddenly increased by heavy activity, like a high energy workout.

Your Comfort Zone Can Also Guide You If You Keep Your Workouts Just Inside It's Limit.

I saw personal trainers push their clients too hard early in a routine, which is a major mistake. I once hired a personal trainer who wanted to "destroy me" with each workout. That wasn't for me. The ideal workout intensity will help you reach a HGH flush, without leaving you so exhausted that you want a nap. In regards to workout intensity, I refer to this as the "sweet spot". You can start increasing your intensity as your body adjusts. However, pay close attention and back off a bit if you find yourself overly tired after a workout.

Gaining Muscle is Easy But Getting Rid Of Fat is What Makes You Look Really Stunning

I cannot understand why so many people are obsessed with gaining muscle mass, when it is burning body fat and slimming down that gives you an attractive body. A sexy body is one that looks lean and toned, not overly muscular. So why are so many people focusing their efforts on the wrong part of a good workout.

Lifting Weights is Much More Fun Than Cardio

Lifting weights is more fun than running on a treadmill for 30 minutes, but that doesn't mean it is where you spend the majority of your time. Everyone enjoys the lifting part of the workout, because it is immediately rewarding. Your muscles instantly look better after just a bit of lifting...cardio is more of a long-term deal. You don't look that much better after a hard cardio workout...you will see the effects weeks later.

Gaining Muscle is Actually Easier than Getting Toned

Guys in the free-weight room try to give you the impression that lifting is tough. Gaining muscle is actually extremely easy...just lift for a lot of sets and try to get stronger in the 6-12 rep range. After your workout is done, go home and eat a protein rich meal. Getting toned involves pushing past the pain barrier a bit and expending energy.

Getting Great Muscle Tone Involves Stricter Eating Than Gaining Muscle

When you are trying to gain muscle, you get to pig out a bit. If you are trying to get lean and sexy, you have to avoid a lot of food temptations. Getting toned also involves at least 30 minutes of cardio, which isn't always fun.

Those So Called "Tough" Free-Weight Guys Are Actually Sissies Compared to People Doing Cardio

The ironic thing about guys in the weight room is that they are the ones doing the easy workout. Don't let the obnoxious "macho" behavior and grunting fool you...lifting weights is easy. You never run out of breath, you get to rest, and it never really hurts like a hardcore cardio workout can. In a funny way, the hot 25-year-old girl on the exercise bike is tougher than the 240 pound Mongoloid lifter in the free-weight room.

Putting on Too Much Muscle Will Make Your Body Repulsive to the Opposite Sex

The funny thing about excessive muscle mass is that it isn't attractive anyway! I would recommend that people spend 2/3 of their time in the gym on cardio and the other third lifting. This is the best way to develop an attractive and sexy body. Lifting may be more fun, but burning fat is what is going to make you more attractive. The choice is yours!

How To Get The Body Of A Male Fitness Model And A Few Male Fitness Model Pictures

Male fitness models build muscle but do not become huge and overly muscular like bodybuilders. It's proven that women find the male fitness model physique more attractive than the bulky bodybuilder look. However, many bodybuilders tend to look down on guys that possess the fitness model type physique.

You see many bodybuilders are under the impression that everyone wants to be as big and strong as them. They see a guy who is lifting lighter weights and doing cardio as someone who isn't as successful in the gym as them. They mistakenly believe that bigger muscles equates to being more attractive to women. Nothing could be further from the truth!

The Male Fitness Model Body Is Held As The Hollywood Sex Symbol Look

Men in the entertainment industry who're held as sex symbols are not huge and buff. Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Taye Diggs, Shermar Moore, Taylor Laurtner and  Daniel Craig are just some of the names who're regarded as sexy men. These men are muscular but are well defined. How many huge and buff bodybuilders you know are held as sex symbols? I'm sure the answer is not much. Therefore, it pays to have a lean muscle build, not a bulky bodybuilder type look.

Male Fitness Models Have To Workout Harder Than Bodybuilders

Lifting weights and bulking up is MUCH easier than burning body fat and getting lean. No matter how big you are...you know it's true! To get big, you just lift with a high volume of lifts and progressively increase the weight over time. You don't have to be on a strict diet and you don't have to hit cardio hard. To get lean, you have to lift to maintain your muscle mass, you have to watch what you eat, and you have to hit cardio like a maniac. The reason you see very few guys in the gym with "six pack abs" is that getting lean is tough work.

A Simple Approach to Leaning Down if You Are Bulky

Getting that lean look is actually simple, but not easy. If you are kind of bulky right now and need to lean down you just need to do a few things:

1) Perform Intense Cardio At Least 4-5 Times Per Week for 30-45 Minutes

2) Multiply Your Body Weight by 12. The Number You Get Will Be The Total Maximum Amount Of Calories You Are Allowed To Eat Each Day...Aim for Less If Possible

3) Quit Obsessing Over Strength

4) Quit Obsessing Over Protein Consumption

5) When In Doubt, Cut Back on Lifting And Increase Cardio

6) You Will See "Six Pack Abs" When You Get Lean Enough. Don't Go Overboard With Crunches and Ab Movements. Cardio is Your Ticket To a Six Pack.

Quit Trying To Impress Guys In The Gym...The Goal Is To Impress Women

When you are hitting cardio hard and limiting your calories, you won't get as big of a pump as you are used to. You will also most likely lose a bit of strength. The big and strong guys in the gym command respect from all the other guys in the gym. I made the decision that it was more important for me to be physically attractive to women, than it was to impress the other gym rats. I aimed to get a physique similar to Matthew McConaughey and haven't looked back since. I don't care if the guys in my gym think that Matthew McConaughey is a wimp...women drool over this guy. Aim for The Male Fitness Model Look  and Don't Look Back!
