6 Beginner Muscle Building Tips For A Complete Beginner Aiming To Build Muscle

We all must start from somewhere. If you're looking to build muscle for the very  first time and need information on the procedures involved and guidelines on how to get started this article is for you. Here are some muscle building tips for complete beginners newly starting out. Note, if you don't have much knowledge about the various terms used in muscle building and the use of weight training equipments you can learn this easily with a simple Google search. Or, you should bookmark this blog or subscribe because we'll have more articles posted in the future to help muscle building beginners commence their journey to building their muscular body.
.
1. Genetics Plays A Role

Genetics traits plays a role in how easily you're able to gain weight and build muscle mass. For example, a fast metabolism is great for keeping your body slim and trim but may work against you when it comes to putting on muscle mass. The other way around means you may bulk up with fat very easily when you overeat which can also be disadvantageous. However, there are solutions to both obstacles. Your diet and workout program will play an essential role in addressing your specific weight gaining situation.

2. Young And First Time Working Out Is An Advantage

If you're in your late teens to middle twenties it's a great age for building muscle, as well as if you've never trained to build muscle before. However, older people can still build muscle but may happen a bit slower than people in that age group. It doesn't matter what age you are, if you're training for the first time you should gain 20 lbs of muscle well with the right workout program. I know a guy who got ripped for the first time in his 50s and he looks awesome. However, if you're young make use of the advantage now and gain your first amount of muscle.

3. Benefits Are More Than Good Looks

Most people want to build muscle to look more attractive which is a major benefit but there are other great benefits of building muscle which are also very worthwhile. When you train to build muscle you become physically stronger, gain increased immunity against sickness and disease, boost your metabolism and gain stronger bones. These are just some of the other benefits of developing a muscular physique.

4. Proper Scheduling Is Important

It's extremely important to stick to a proper workout schedule when aiming to build a muscular body. Your body needs the right rhythm of workout and rest periods to grow muscles. Failing from your schedule regularly will just kill your progress. But hitting the gym too regularly is not good neither. Your body needs time to rest for muscle growth to take place. It's recommended for a beginner to workout 3 days a week as the most and take one day off between each workout you do.

5. Getting Proper Nutrition To Build Muscle

You must eat well to build up muscle. You can't build muscle unless you give your body the proper calories to do so. Choosing a good supplement  can also aid in muscle recovery and repair. Complex carbs and protein must be included into your diet. It's best to eat lean protein such as eggs, low fat yogurt, and whole grain carbs such as oatmeal and whole-wheat breads.

While eating well is important for getting ripped, consuming too much food can also cause you to bulk up with excess fat which is not good when you're aiming to get a lean and muscular physique. For that reason, you must avoid over-consumption of calories. You should stick with an average food intake as required according to your specific situation. And it's also important to use cardio in your workout to ensure fat gain is kept under control. A persons metabolic type will determine how much food they should eat to gain weight but the right principles must be enforced to avoid bulking up with excess fat.

6. Lifting Weights To Build Muscle

To build muscle you need to be lifting weights. But it's not just lifting any weights. You need to be lifting weights as heavy as you can. The more resistance you feel from the lift the better the results. Muscle growth occurs after muscle tissues are broken down by the heavy force of weight lifting. Each time the muscle rebuilds itself after a workout it grows a bit bigger. Therefore, you must be prepared to continuously force your muscle to adapt to heavier weights to see development in your body. You should choose a well structured workout program that'll guide you to build muscle properly and effectively.

However, development in muscle size does not guarantee an attractive body. It's way common to see both men and women build muscle and wind up with a physique that doesn't look very attractive. If your aim is to gain a visually stunning body from your muscle building efforts then you must learn the right strategies and principles you need to follow to ensure your body looks they way you want it.

Different people aim for different results, but it's undeniable that the eye-catching look is the lean and muscular physique. Following advice from a regular bodybuilder, a gym rat or bodybuilding magazines and websites won't guarantee a lean and muscular body. These sources are only concerned with building huge muscles to look like a bodybuilder. They're not focused on how attractive the muscle will make a person look.

As a beginner you need a reliable and highly informative guide that will lead you step-by-step to build a lean and muscular body that'll amaze both people who know you and people seeing you for the first time. Muscle Growth - Getting An Understanding Of Muscles Grow

Becoming aware of how your muscles develop in size is very important to creating an effective workout. Lots of people are not aware that two different type of muscle growth exist. Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy is the first kind of muscle growth. Myofibrillar Hypertrophy is the other way a muscle increases in size.

Here is a definition of Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy

This kind of muscle gain is the result of a build up of fluid inside the cells of muscles. Imagine your muscle cells as tiny balloons filled with water. The muscle grows as the amount of fluid or sarcoplasm builds inside each muscle cell. In order to get the most muscle growth in the shortest amount of time, you will want to concentrate on muscle growth related to sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. Further down, this article will talk about how to do this.

Here is a definition of Myofibrillar Hypertrophy

This kind of muscle gain is a result in muscle tissue expansion. This muscle gain does not happen as quickly as the first kind, but will improve how dense and strong a muscle is. Again, picture balloons filled with water. Myofibrillar growth would equate to the balloon itself becoming thicker.

Instructions on ways to improve the amount of sarcoplasm (fluid) inside muscles:

Do between 6 and 15 reps. The more reps you do, the more fluid that builds up inside the cells. In addition, you want to lift weights so that the muscles get tired. Do not have a long rest period after reps and sets. You will want every set to be more difficult than the last one.

Instructions on ways to build muscle fibers as you work out

Myofibrillar muscle growth tends to occur when the number of reps is low, and the amount of muscle tension is high. You do not want the muscle to tire. Take longer rests after sets to make sure you are able to raise the most weight you can during each set. You do not want to be extremely tired, but you do want the tension to be extreme.

Here are errors a lot of people make when trying to achieve muscle growth

The majority of lifters perform a variety of rep ranges throughout one workout. Often, people begin working with 15 reps and go down to 2 or 3 reps all in one workout session. This tactic presents an issue because the body is not able to reach its maximum ability with a workout like this. An improved workout would include 2 or 3 months of 6 to 15 reps followed by 2 to 3 months of 2 to 5 reps.

Doing 5 reps is going to benefit you the most

In order to attain some sarcoplasmic muscle growth and some myofibrillar muscle growth at the same time, doing 5 reps will provide you the most benefit. You aren't going to see rapid muscle growth doing this; however you will get dense muscles without having to follow a complicated plan.

How To Quickly Get That Ripped Muscle Look With The Ripped Muscle Workout

The Fundamentals Of A Good Ripped Muscle Workout...Let's Keep It Simple.

Getting the ripped muscle look is somewhat simple but not very easy. Where most people have it wrong is they are of the belief that the process of lifting is what makes a muscle ripped. The actual lifting of weights isn't the major factor in making someone tremendously defined. Rather, it is people's low percentage of fat in the body.

"High Reps" Do Not Shape The Muscle

A lot of people are of the misperception that "high reps" shape the muscle and that "low reps" cause muscle growth. This is surely not the case. All your muscles can do is basically contract or relax. When you lift a light weight, your muscle just has to contract a little to lift that weight. When you lift a heavy weight your muscle has to contract quite a bit to lift that weight. If anything, heavier weights and low reps will increase the tone in the muscle more than light weights will.

You Don't Have to Eat six mini Meals a Day to Get Ripped

I maintain my body fat at around 6-8% right through the year and I eat 3-4 "medium" meals per day. I just can't put up with eating tiny meals all the time, plus it isn't really practical. My advice is to just try to keep a relatively low calorie intake throughout the day when you are trying to get lean. If I know that I'm going to have a few beers on Friday night and go to a happy hour, I will eat extremely low calorie meals earlier in the day. I may even skip a meal. I'm telling you...this works! Don't get obsessed and think that your metabolism is going to slow to a crawl if you skip a meal now and then. You will get lean quickly if you just lower your daily calorie intake...don't make it more complex than it is.

Spend Two Thirds of Your Workout Time Devoted to Cardio

This is a tough one for most gym rats, but if you want a six-pack and a defined body then you must spend much more time over in the cardio section of the gym. If you only have an hour to workout, I would recommend 20 minutes of lifting and 40 minutes of cardio. It really doesn't take much lifting to maintain the muscle you currently have and the cardio is going to strip away the fat and make your muscle look that much better. Very few guys in most gyms perform enough cardio and very few guys have good muscle definition in most gyms.

Throw Some Intensity Into Your Cardio Workouts

You will have a very tough time getting really lean, if you just walk on the treadmill like most trainers recommend. Low intensity cardio works well for really overweight people who want to get to an average body fat level. The problem is that once you reach an average body fat level, you will reach a sticking point. The only way to continue to burn body fat and get to low levels is to challenge your body by pushing hard on your cardio. If you aren't sweating and breathing hard at the end of your cardio workout, you are wasting your time!

Getting that Ripped Muscle Look Isn't Hard If You Keep These Basic Principles In Mind.

Gaining Muscle is Easy But Getting Rid Of Fat is What Makes You Look Really Stunning

I cannot understand why so many people are obsessed with gaining muscle mass, when it is burning body fat and slimming down that gives you an attractive body. A sexy body is one that looks lean and toned, not overly muscular. So why are so many people focusing their efforts on the wrong part of a good workout.

Lifting Weights is Much More Fun Than Cardio

Lifting weights is more fun than running on a treadmill for 30 minutes, but that doesn't mean it is where you spend the majority of your time. Everyone enjoys the lifting part of the workout, because it is immediately rewarding. Your muscles instantly look better after just a bit of lifting...cardio is more of a long-term deal. You don't look that much better after a hard cardio workout...you will see the effects weeks later.

Gaining Muscle is Actually Easier than Getting Toned

Guys in the free-weight room try to give you the impression that lifting is tough. Gaining muscle is actually extremely easy...just lift for a lot of sets and try to get stronger in the 6-12 rep range. After your workout is done, go home and eat a protein rich meal. Getting toned involves pushing past the pain barrier a bit and expending energy.

Getting Great Muscle Tone Involves Stricter Eating Than Gaining Muscle

When you are trying to gain muscle, you get to pig out a bit. If you are trying to get lean and sexy, you have to avoid a lot of food temptations. Getting toned also involves at least 30 minutes of cardio, which isn't always fun.

Those So Called "Tough" Free-Weight Guys Are Actually Sissies Compared to People Doing Cardio

The ironic thing about guys in the weight room is that they are the ones doing the easy workout. Don't let the obnoxious "macho" behavior and grunting fool you...lifting weights is easy. You never run out of breath, you get to rest, and it never really hurts like a hardcore cardio workout can. In a funny way, the hot 25-year-old girl on the exercise bike is tougher than the 240 pound Mongoloid lifter in the free-weight room.

Putting on Too Much Muscle Will Make Your Body Repulsive to the Opposite Sex

The funny thing about excessive muscle mass is that it isn't attractive anyway! I would recommend that people spend 2/3 of their time in the gym on cardio and the other third lifting. This is the best way to develop an attractive and sexy body. Lifting may be more fun, but burning fat is what is going to make you more attractive. The choice is yours!

How To Gain Maximum Muscle Tone By Lifting Heavy Weights

Getting An Understanding Of Muscle Tone And Muscle Definition

For one to choose the most effective way to increase muscle tone, one must first understand what muscle tone is. Muscle tone is residual tension in a relaxed muscle. What this means is that your nervous system is tensing the muscle to a certain extent while you are in a relaxed state.

Muscle Tone is a By-product of An Alert Nervous System

Essentially any part of the body with significant muscle tone has a strong mind to muscle connection in that body part. Whenever a person desire additional muscle tone in a certain body part they will have to increase the efficiency of the nerve impulses to that body part. Never forget that muscle tone is not a "muscle fiber" issue, it is a "nervous system" issue. This is the top mistake that persons make in their quest to increase muscle tone.

The Reason The "Light Weight and High Rep Approach" Isn't Effective

''Lift light weights for high reps'' is the mainstream advice that fitness trainers tell their clients to develop muscle tone. Lifting light weights gives you an illusion of increasing muscle tone. High reps generally give the muscles a great pump. When the muscles are pumped up they will look more toned, but when the pump is gone the muscle tone is gone. If you want muscle tone for the time you are spending in the gym then lifting high reps and light weights will allow you to gain this. But, if you desire to have great muscle tone 24 hours a day, then you need to take a different approach.

Lifting Heavy Weights Will Make Your Nervous System More Efficient and Increase Muscle Tone

The only way to lift heavier weights is to develop the magnitude of your muscle -or- increase the efficiency of your nervous system. If you're aiming to gain muscle tone, then you should try to get progressively stronger without getting bigger. A great way to do this is to lift for 3-5 reps for 5 sets or so. Do a basic strength workout, but then hit the cardio really hard after that workout. Keep your calories low as well.

Why Don't Most Strength Trainers Have Great Muscle Tone?

Most dudes you see in the gym who are lifting heavy are also not doing any cardio and they are consuming a ton of calories. They are trying to become as huge and strong as they can be. That should not be your goal! If you want to get amazingly defined then focus on gaining strength while reducing body fat.

Learn a Lesson from Olympic Level Athletes

Have you ever seen a middleweight boxer in person? These people are amazingly ripped. So are gymnasts. These guys focus on getting stronger while maintaining or losing weight. These athletes have unbelievable muscle tone as a byproduct of their training. They aren't even focusing on muscle tone, yet they have more muscle tone than most bodybuilders. Keep in mind that most of the pictures you see of bodybuilders are after they have pumped up and have dehydrated themselves almost to the point of heart failure.

Lift Heavy, Get Stronger and Increase Muscle Tone...What's Not to Like?

Follow a basic strength training program and hit cardio hard. Train like an elite athlete and you will create an amazing body. Leave all that "pumping up" nonsense to the Mongoloid bodybuilders.
