US Embassy in Oman throwing another concert.

Once again, the US Embassy (formally known as the United States Diplomatic Mission to the Sultanate of Oman) are throwing another music concert. They did one last year, or was it the year before(?) on the lawns of the Crowne Plaza. Interestingly, they are also on Twitter, you can follow them here.

This time, it's at the Ritz Carlton's Al Bustan Palace on July 24th at 8pm - and a special nod to readers from the Dhofar - you get the first show! Saturday July 23rd at the Khareef Festival. And the band is rather amusingly named: Hot club of cowtown. Everyone is welcome to attend, and it is free to go.

My brief googling on the band has netted that they are purveyors of Hot Jazz and Western Swing - I think it'll be quite fun, I think I'll book reservations at the China Mood - their crispy aromatic duck is legendary.

Salalah - Saturday @ the Khareef Festival (Sorry I dont know when they will be playing)!
Muscat - Sunday, 8pm @ the Bustan.
